Googly makes a very small, fast, free way to access a full Google Search directly from your desktop. You do not need to have a browser open on Google's home page. You simply type in your search words, click Go! and Google's full results are opened in your usual (default) browser.

Unlike Google's own Deskbar, Googly runs on all Macs and Windows with any (default) browser and is shown here in OsX Safari, but it is equally happy in Windows Explorer. (Contact us if you want a Linux version to be compiled.)
Googly does not have PageRank or any of the Google Toolbar's advanced functionality, but unlike the Toolbar it does not need Explorer 5.5 already open in Windows. It makes a free, fun tool which can be docked or minimized(right). This is very handy if you need to use Google to check web pages whilst working on a laptop in programs like MS Word or MacroMedia's Dreamweaver.
